Heather's New Life Part 5 ,Heather leaned her left head down and peered through the biological microscope, closing her right head’s set of eyes so she could better focus with her left head’s set of eyes. “Interesting,” said Heather with her left head. “What’s interesting,” asked Amanda with her right head as her right head turned towards Heather, her left head going over data they had collected the day before. “Well, the blood sample you took of me is fascinating,’ said Heather with her left head. ‘It’s like the same as before but at the same time different.” “Welcome to my Lab Heather,’ said Amanda’s right head with a smile. ‘I’ve been trying to pin point exactly what makes our blood different than anyone else’s that allows us to have two heads with one consciousness for years now. It almost seems like there’s a magical undertone to our blood that I just can’t isolate.” “Yes, it’s kind of perplexing that way,” said Heather as she lifted both of her heads up and looked at Amanda, slightly puzzled. “That’s why we’re here,’ said Amanda with her Left head, looking up at Heather. ‘By the way, you are really getting better at talking with one mouth instead of both. Makes things easier, doesn’t it?” “Yes, it actually does,’ said Heather with her right head, smiling with her left head. ‘I’ve feel like things have become a lot easier for me since gaining another head. Things that used to confuse me now seem easily figured out. Biology comes easy to me now. It’s fascinating to me.” “Hold on Heather,’ said Amanda’s Left head. ‘My cell phone’s ringing.” Amanda answers the phone with her right head. ‘Hello. Oh, okay great! Thanks, I’ll let everyone know.” “Well, who was that,” asked Heather with her left head. “It was Dr. Roberts biology labs. They are sending over the results of the last tests,” said Amanda’s Left head. “Did they give any indication of the results,” asked Heather’s Left head. “They wanted to go over it with me but didn’t specifically say anything,” said Amanda’s left head. “When will it be here,” asked Heather’s Right head and her left head looked towards the door to the hallway. “It’s on it’s way now. So It should be arriving within the hour,” said’ Amanda with her left head. “Great!’ said Heather with her right head. Her left looking back down at towards the microscope. ‘I’m going to get back to work,” said her left head as her right head smiled. “I’ll be right back,’ said Amanda with her right head as her left head looked towards the door. ‘There’s somethings I want to check on in the locked supply closet.” “Sure,’ said Heather’s right head as her right pair of eyes closed and her left pair of eyes looked through the microscope. ‘Let me know if you need help bringing anything back.” Amanda walked to the supply closet and opened the locked door with her key. Panning through the DNA samples in the refrigerator sitting inside the closet, they were mostly DNA samples from herself and Troy. “I’m missing something, I just have to be,” thought Amanda. Suddenly, one vial of blood, her blood, started to catch her eye. Amanda didn’t exactly know why; the vial didn’t really stand out in any significant way. But something told her to reexamine it because it was important that she did so. She took the vial off the shelf and closed the refrigerator and locked the closet door. She walked back to the laboratory, once she walked in she noticed that Heather scratching her right head as if trying to ascertain a tough question. Going over to another microscope, Amanda properly put a blood drop on the light and set up the microscope to observe. Closing her left set of eyes, Amanda looked into the microscope with her right set of eyes. Looking as closely to the cells she saw through the lens Amanda didn’t see anything out of the ordinary at first. They looked like normal healthy cells. Amanda started to question why she got a feeling to look at these particular cells when she started to see something start to stand out to her. It was very small but was definitely there. Taking another moment to look at it, there seemed to be a glow coming from the center of the cell. Almost like it was calling out to her. Amanda thought to herself that there was something deeper in the cell that needed to be investigated. Excitedly, she took the vial of the blood to be tested, she had the equipement right here in her lab and in a few hours she will be able to see the genetic sequence to the cells. Hopefully, she would see something different able the sequence that could answer the question of their two-headedness....
Heather's New Life Part 4,“Well, it looks like you’ll have a small bruise for a few days. Other than that, I don’t see any signs of a concussion or other head injuries. I would recommend that if your head starts to hurt to take several off the counter ibuprofen,” said the Doctor, looking up from Heather’s right head, where she was hit by the rock. “Thanks doc,’ said Heather, smiling with both mouths. ‘It’s been a long day so far today. I’m glad something went okay. I must get to the library for an hour or two of studying. Have a good afternoon.” “Have a good evening my dear,’ said the doctor with a smile, looking from one head to the other and back again. ‘If there’s anything else you need, please let me know.” Heather Smiled with both mouths, stood up, and walked out of the medical offices deep in thought about the day’s events. Tears started to flow from both sets of eyes when she passed by the science building. “Why did this have to happen to me,’ thought Heather. ‘I am supposed to be a normal college student. A normal one headed college student. I wasn’t supposed to be, this. A two headed, thing. I’m supposed to be a normal one headed college student. I’m supposed to be at parties where guys hit on me and being with friends having a good time. Taking classes and generally trying to figure out what I’m supposed to do with my life after college. Now people are calling me a ‘freak’ and throwing stones at my head for just sitting there. I just want to be normal again.”Before she knew it, Heather was nearing the campus library, she was passing next to the staff parking lot which was nearly empty when she heard a male voice call out, “Well, well, well. If it isn’t one of the Freaks from the deli. You don’t have your freak of a boyfriend to save you now.” Heather turned towards the parking lot and saw the young man from earlier walking towards her, this time he had three of his friends with him. They were obviously drunk. “Leave me alone. I haven’t don’t anything to you,” she cried out with both mouths. “Hey Freak! Why don’t you show us your tits. I sure would like to cup a feel of those things,” laughed one of the guys who was the tallest of the group. The others laughed. They leered at her as they walked towards her. Heather started to back up, not daring to turn and run fearing they would just chase her down and harm her even further, “Please, just go away! I won’t say anything to anyone.” The four boys were just starting to surround Heather when the person from earlier, in deep loss of breath way, said, “Hmpf!”. Sending him to the ground on his right side. Another “Hmpf” sounded out by one of the guys to Heather’s left, sending him falling backwards onto his behind and onto his back. The other two guys, stunned at the quick change of circumstances, looked blankly around. Heather blinked, “What just happened,” she thought. Out of the corner of her eyes Heather saw what looked like the barrels of two horses. “Stay back Heather,” called out a female voice. “Get now,’ said a male’s voice boomed. The two males still standing looked at the person who said that and just ran away. ‘Alexandra, could you call an ambulance. I think the two unconscious on the ground could use some medical attention. I’ll attend to our friend here.’ Looking at Heather, the man took several steps towards her. ‘It’s okay Heather. There is nothing to be frightened of. I know this is a lot to take in in one day. But we are here to help.” Heather, wide-eyed, looked at the centaur standing not even five feet from her. She was stunned. Looking up at him, he stood nearly two and half feet taller than her. He looked familiar to her, but she couldn’t place him. Looking at his facial features, his arms, he chest, his abs. Clothed in a blue form fitting semi-formal shirt and black semi-formal jacket which gave way to a silky brownish tan colored horse frontal legs and extended back to the hind legs of a quarter horse. Heather exhaled, realizing now that she had been holding her breath. “You’re a, you’re a centaur,” was all she could muster vocally. “Well, her observation skills seemed to be still enacted,” chuckled a woman who trotted up next to the centaur. Heather looked wide-eyed at her, realizing in that second that she was staring at a centauress. A tall and robust female centaur, she was nearly three inches shorter than the male but it was obvious to Heather that she was related to male centaur. “Hello, Heather. My name is Alexandra. And this is my two Brother Alex. We are attorney’s and we came at the behest of Amanda who said that you and her could be in some legal trouble. We just galloped onto campus when we saw those four creeps nearly assaulting you. I guess we got here just in time.” Heather could only stare, her four eyes are still red from crying earlier, at the centaurs in front of her. “Well,’ said Alex. ‘Aren’t you going to say ‘hello’ back young lady.” Elbowing her brother in his human ribs, Alexandra said, “Can’t you tell that she’s surprised to see us Alex. Heather, baby, if you could climb onto my back so we can get you to a safer location and then we’ll talk, okay? It just like riding a horse. You have ridden a horse before right Heather.” Heather Blinked several times with both set of eyes before she responded with both mouths, “Uh, Yeah, I guess. When I was little.” “Good,’ said Alexandra in a soft voice. ‘Hop on and we’ll take you back to Amanda’s Scientific room. I imagine they are still there anyway.” Heather walked over to Alexandra’s right side and next to her horse half of her body. Her heads barely passing the top of the horse chest, she noticed that the horse lungs calmly took a breath, adding a sense of surrealness of the situation. Heather, stopped and looked up at Alexandra, not knowing exactly how to get up on her horse’s back without assistance. “Here,” said Alexandra, her human half had turned to face Heather. She held out her right hand to Heather. Heather took her hand with her own right hand. “Now I’m going to pull up and I want you to Balance yourself on my side, okay Heather?” said Alexandra. Heather just nodded with both her heads. Alexandra pulled with strength that surprised Heather, like the strength of a horse. With her left arm, Heather grabbed Alexandra’s horseback near her spine and pulled as she swung her left leg over to the best of her ability. Surprisingly, Alexandra still was able to swing her human half to face Heather, she faced slightly away from heather as if she was more facing the area just to the right of Heather but still in her general direction. Heather gasped at that, it seemed strange at that moment to see a female human torso attached to a horse’s body. “Are you ready?’ asked Alexandra as she turned her human torso to face forward. ‘You probably want to hold on.” Alexandra abruptly started to trot. Heather leaned forwards and wrapped her arms around Alexandra’s Human torso, just below where her breasts were. Her two heads leaned into Alexandra’s semi-formal blue blouse on her two left cheeks. Her left head felt bunched up against Alexandra’s upper human back and her left head’s left check, narrowing her vision. While her right head felt her left check touch her left head’s right cheek her right head’s vision didn’t narrow much. She watched as the school grounds passed by at a quicker pace than she was used to. Soon they were off campus and trotting in the streets towards The Science building that Amanda had her Lab in. “She’s right,’ thought Heather, as she tightened her grip around Alexandra’s human torso. ‘It’s almost like riding a horse.” Cars passed them, occasionally getting questioning looks from the passengers in the car, Heather felt Alexandra start to gallop, “Thankfully my hair is a ponytails today,” thought Heather a s she felt the wind flow through her hair, even though her heads were still firmly behind Alexandra’s human torso. Heather felt the power of the horse’s body’s running as she was riding Alexandra, combined with the wind whipping through her hair, she felt a sense of freedom that Alexandra possessed as a centauress. A little while later they made it to Amanda’s Research’s lab. Alexandra slowed to a stop in front of the building, allowing Heather to get down. Heather and the two centaurs walked in, although a tight fit for the centaurs, they managed to get to Amanda’s Lab. “Amanda are you there,” asked Heather with both mouths. “Here,’ called Amanda as she walked into sight from one of the storage closets. ‘Ah! I see that Alexandra and Alex found you Heather. It’s great that you two made it so quickly.” “You know these two?” asked Heather, in slight fascination and slight surprise. “Yes of course Heather,’ said Amanda’s right head. ‘They’re our lawyers. Or more specifically the Dr. Robert’s Laboratory Inc’s Lawyers and since they are a major donor to our research and our research has been a great help to their company, we have access to their lawyers.” “Oh, what is this Dr. Roberts Laboratory Inc? How come I haven’t heard of them if they are such a big company,’ said Heather. ‘And how come There are centaurs standing in the Lab? How did that happen? Aren’t centaurs supposed to be folklore, not Real?” Alex chuckled, “Obviously we are real. We’re standing here, aren’t we?” “That’s not what I meant. Just I’m surprised is all,’ said Heather shyly. ‘I didn’t expect this.” “Okay, I think we need to start from the beginning for Heather’s sake,” said Amanda’s Left head. “Where should we begin,” said Alexandra. “Probably how you two got transformed and who this Dr. Roberts is,” said Amanda’s left head. “That’s a good idea,’ said Alex. ‘Heather, I know you had a rough day but I think you need to hear this about us.” “I’ll start,’ interrupted Alexandra. ‘See, Heather. My brother and I weren’t always centaurs. We were human up until three years ago. We got transformed when we went on a tour at a Dr. Roberts. Laboratories and we’ve been centaurs since….”
